John P. Gregoire is the founder of The ProCon Group, a consulting firm dedicate to enhancing the organizational effectiveness, service excellence and competitive position of credit unions. He has over thirty (30) years of experience in the financial services industry with an emphasis on credit unions and credit union organizations. He has a broad-based perspective having held senior management positions in state and national trade associations and credit unions, including three years as Executive Vice President of Corporate Planning and Strategy Development for the Orange County Teachers Federal Credit Union (now SchoolsFirst FCU).


John's consulting work includes the areas of board governance, team leadership, CEO appraisal and succession planning as well as strategic planning. He also has previous consulting experience with the California Credit Union League and Sibson Consulting, an international leader in the field of strategy and compensation development.


John is a founding member of the Filene Research Institute. As the staff liaison to the Institute, he was instrumental in the development and publishing of the report on Board Responsibilities and Work Styles in Effective Credit Unions. He has authored a variety of articles on strategy, the balanced scorecard and governance. He has been an instructor at the CUNA Strategic Planning Institute and recently completed a project with CUNA to analyze the professional and training needs of the board. John also serves on the board of the National Credit Union Foundation.


John received his Masters in Management from the Claremont Graduate School - Peter B. Drucker School of Management and is also a graduate of the Stanford Business School Program.
