Ralph Swoboda is a principal of The ProCon Group, LLC and has thirty-five years experience in the financial services industry.  He has worked extensively with credit unions in the U.S. on governance, operations, compliance, leadership development and strategic planning.  He has also advised credit unions, credit co-operatives and their government regulators in Great Britain, Ireland, Trinidad, Australia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Korea, China, and elsewhere internationally.

Prior to joining ProCon, Ralph was Senior Vice President, International Operations for CUNA Mutual Group, and responsible for directing its businesses in more than twenty countries.  Previously, he served as Chairman of the Management Committee of the Association of British Credit Unions Limited (ABCUL), the primary trade body for credit unions in England, Scotland and Wales.  From 1987 through 1995, he was the President/CEO of Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and its financial services subsidiary, CUNA Service Group.

An honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, Ralph has held numerous positions in the credit union and cooperative sector.  Those include serving on the Boards of Directors of CARE USA, U.S. Central Credit Union, the National Credit Union Foundation, and the National Cooperative Business Association. 

Ralph was a founding member and director of the Filene Research Institute and has also been a director of several insurance and financial services companies that serve credit unions and cooperative banks in various countries in North America, Europe and Asia.
