 Dr. Mark S. Benn is
a licensed psychologist, an adjunct professor at Colorado State
University, and a nationally repected executive trainer, mediator and
keynote presenter on team building, workplace development and doing business multi-culturally.
Mark received
his doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado in counseling
psychology in 1986. After completing an internship at Ohio
State University, he began his
professional career there as a psychologist and in
private practice from 1986 to 1991. Following his time in Ohio, Mark returned to Colorado and continued his
career as a psychologist, professor and consultant to numerous
businesses in the areas of mediation and workplace cultures. Mark
has conducted
workshops throughout the country and consulted on such topics as team
building, multi-cultural education,
rape education, AIDS awareness, parenting, and workplace
mediation. He has spoken at over 100 colleges and universities.
He
is frequently invited for return engagements as his reputation spreads
across a campus as a powerful speaker who is both educational and
entertaining. His
2008 book Tales from the Couch and Other Stories illustrates common
themes in peoples' lives through a collection of stories from
Mark's twenty-five years interviewing, questioning, doing therapy
and teaching. His previous writings include Working Together to Prevent Sexual Assault (1995).
