 John Dolan-Heitlinger is a
consultant to credit unions, not-for-profit organizations, and local
governments. A nationally recognized
speaker, he counsels boards of directors and executives on governance, planning,
management, analysis, metrics, and regulatory issues. John D-H has written extensively on strategic
planning, incentive systems, understanding financial statements, lending, and
asset liability management.
As a CEO and senior executive
with credit unions for more than 25 years, John D-H has served in a
variety of economic and demographic environments. These credit unions include Keys
Federal Credit Union in Key West, Florida; Solidarity Credit Union in Kokomo,
Indiana, and the Eli Lilly and Near Eastside Federal Credit Unions in Indianapolis,
Indiana.
John D-H has held many leadership
positions in civic organizations and served on numerous local government
commissions and advisory boards including appointments by the Governor of Florida,
the Monroe County Commission, and the City of Key West.
Retired from the Coast
Guard Reserve, Commander D-H has experience in civil rights, homeland security,
hurricane recovery, and disaster response including heading Surface Operations during
the Exxon Valdez oil spill response.
He received his Masters in
Business Administration from the Johnson School at Cornell University and
a Bachelor of Arts in History & Economics from Potsdam College. He
completed the Credit Union CEO Development Program at Stanford University.
